The recent extension of whistleblowing obligations for private entities will – hopefully – cast light on illicit behaviours in the corporate context. But the internal reporting procedures now required generate processing of personal data, which require the fulfilment of information and transparency obligations and the adoption of adequate security measures by the data controller.
